Seam tape is a polymer self-adhesive waterproof material used for road crack repair. It is mainly used to prevent rainwater from penetrating into cracks and delay further damage to the road surface structure. It is a composite of highly elastic modified asphalt and a high-strength polymer substrate. It has excellent waterproofness, adhesion and durability, and is one of the important materials for preventive maintenance of asphalt concrete pavements.
Product features
Waterproof sealing: effectively prevent rainwater from entering cracks and protect the roadbed
High temperature and low temperature resistance: no flow, no brittle cracking, adaptable to various climatic conditions
High adhesion: firmly bonded to the asphalt pavement, not easy to fall off
Easy to construct: no large equipment is required, just tear the film and stick it, high construction efficiency
Extend life: delay crack expansion, effectively extend road life
Performance indicators and specifications of seam tape

Scope of application
Asphalt concrete road crack treatment
Cement concrete expansion joint sealing
Bridge expansion joint sealing
Urban road and municipal sidewalk repair
Airport runway and port terminal crack waterproof sealing
Packaging and storage
Packaging: Coil packaging, waterproof plastic film outer seal
Storage: Place in a dry, ventilated environment, avoid direct sunlight
Shelf life: 12 months (unopened)
Storage of single film seam tape
There are three points to note when storing single-film seam tape:
To ensure good adhesion of the seam tape, store it in a cool place in summer and in a sunny or heat-insulating place in winter. The general storage temperature is between 15℃-35℃;
Avoid storing in humid places to prevent damage to the packaging;
According to the quality requirements of the packaging boxes, they should not be stacked too high, and heavy objects should not be stacked above to prevent the packaging boxes from being crushed, which will cause the single film seam tape to be squeezed, deformed, and bonded.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can the joint tape be used in winter?
A: Yes, but the construction temperature is recommended to be above 5℃. At low temperatures, hot air can be used to heat and enhance adhesion.
Q: Will it bulge or fall off after use?
A: If the construction surface is cleaned and compacted sufficiently, the joint tape can adhere firmly and is not easy to fall off.
Q: What is the difference with caulking material?
A: The joint tape is easier to apply and is suitable for preventive treatment of minor cracks; caulking material is suitable for structural crack repair.
