FAQ
Is PP short-filament geotextile waterproof?
A: PP short-filament geotextile itself is not waterproof. It is a permeable material used for drainage and filtration. If waterproofing is required, please choose HDPE geomembrane, composite geomembrane, or waterproof coating.
Are custom sizes available?
A: Yes. Common widths include 1m, 2m, 4m, and 6m, and lengths range from 50 to 200 meters per roll. Custom sizes are available. Weight, color, and packaging can also be customized.
Can it be used in landfill or river anti-seepage projects?
A: Yes. PP short-filament non-woven geotextile is typically used as a protective layer or drainage layer in anti-seepage systems. Used in conjunction with HDPE geomembrane or geotextile closure (GCL), it protects the membrane, prevents punctures, and facilitates water drainage.
What is the service life of PP short-filament geotextile?
A: Under normal underground use, it can last over 50 years. In exposed environments, it requires the addition of a UV inhibitor; otherwise, its service life will be significantly shortened. (It is recommended to apply a sunscreen cover or backfill as soon as possible.)
Are there test reports or third-party certifications?
A: Yes. We can provide test reports meeting the national standard (GB/T 17638), the European standard CE, and the American standard ASTM. We can also provide certifications such as SGS, BV, and ISO based on customer export or project requirements.
